Invasives Species

Help Prevent Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)

The Lac du Flambeau Town Lake Committee plans to monitor 7 busy boat landings, including the White Sand Lake landing, this summer. They are looking for volunteers to help with this mission. If you are willing to help fight AIS and keep White Sand Lake pristine, even for a few hours, please call the Town Hall (715-588-3358).

Purple Loosestrife arrives to White Sand Lake!

Multiple sightings of purple loosestrife were reported last year. Many of the sightings were of large single plants; however, larger patches of this invasive plant have been reported. Please review the links below and based on the info you read, please evaluate each site and choose the best method(s) of control.
